About Us

Ian Meikle

Ian has a view that successful relationships, whether in business or personal life, are based on two key principles, trust and respect. These can only work if both parties adhere to those principles as they always break down on both sides and once broken are very difficult to repair.

Ian has around 30 years of international sales experience in the semiconductor and related hi tech industries. He has held various senior management positions servicing international markets.

He has lived and worked in the UK, Germany, Hong Kong and the USA. He managed sales and operations activities in the U.K., Europe, Asia, from 1986 through 2001, and the USA. Ian initially worked in Asia with Monolithic Memories Inc. (MMI), where he was Managing Director of the Asian subsidiaries,

His Chinese name given to him by friends in Taiwan is:

From 2001 Ian was Vice President of Sales for Actineon Inc. in the US. Following that he has been a partner in Sapiential Prime http://www.sapientialprime.com, a business consulting firm, since 2003.

During that time Ian has worked in different markets, has managed people to achieve their best results, has planned and directed sales meetings, managed a variety of projects, and planned and directed a variety of training programs in a corporate environment.

Prior to his entering the business environment Ian was in the British Army, Corps  of the Royal Electrical and Mechanical Engineers (R.E.M.E.) where he studied and worked in telecommunications. During that time he was involved in many activities including unarmed Combat, outward Bound, jungle warfare and was trained in winter survival.

His experience in the jungle warfare training helped develop the Mission Possible Program. This was where he learned how to set and find booby traps and how to travel and survive in the jungle.

His experience and training and the opportunity to pass  on the enjoyment and skills  has been a major motivating factor in establishing the Mission Possible program.

Ian was a competent athlete and had a long career in Rugby where he played and coached at all levels, including representing Hong Kong, playing senior club rugby in the UK at Ayr in Scotland and at London Irish.

He represented Hong Kong as a member of their International Rugby team and has been a founder of several new Rugby clubs. Ian has both trained and coached players at all levels, from mini rugby (children from age 9 - 15) up to Senior Rugby Union clubs in the UK, Germany, Hong Kong and the USA. He has also  participated in many other, different team sports over the years and is a qualified P.A.D.I. Advanced SCUBA diver.

Ian still dives and likes most outdoor activities whether sailing, motor bike riding etc. but also loves to read and play backgammon, although not well.

This combination of his experiences and values has left Ian with a passion for  outdoor activities, training and motivating people. These are the elements which led  him into creating Mission Possible, where the purpose is to teach team building skills,  whilst having fun. An enjoyable learning experience is remembered longer and communicated to others  in a positive, energetic fashion.

Peter Stevens

Peter Stevens is one of the founders and lives in Puerto Galera. He is presently Commodore of the Puerto Galera Yacht Club. http://www.pgyc.org

Peter was in the Royal Hong Kong Police Force from 1976 to 1997 where he reached the rank of Senior Superintendent before taking early retirement on the handover of the Territory. Amongst other things he was involved in bomb disposal, hostage negotiations, was trained in riot drill, weapons handling, communications, helicopter and armoured vehicle training, operational planning and briefing.

Peter also was an instructor at the Police Tactical Unit, trained in Counter Terrorism at the FBI Academy at Quantico and hostage negotiation with the Metropolitan Police Service in England.

Peter joined the Training Staff of the Police Tactical Unit and spent two years of daily training of young Inspectors and their men, who rotated through the unit every 10 weeks. Speciality fields were weapon training, operational planning and briefing, basic hostage negotiation and devising field training exercises.

Promoted to Chief Inspector, Peter returned to training in the Police Tactical Unit. Peter was in charge of all the training teams (around 30 men), plus running numerous exercises to test the companies under training.

During this time Peter instigated and implemented a complete change and modernisation of the way in which the training was carried out, moving from a very rigid, drill-based system to a very flexible, initiative-based one. This greatly improved the quality of the training and the speed at which trainees reached operational readiness. This system is, with modifications, still in use.

Peter was transferred on promotion to Staff Officer Counter Terrorism (SO CT), Police Headquarters.  For a period of two and a half years Peter was the policy advisor and staff officer for the Commissioner of Police on all matters pertaining to international terrorism as it might affect HK. This involved extensive liaison with numerous senior officers and officials both within and without the police and HK Government.

Outside his work Peter has also trained in the following:

In 2004 Peter joined a Raleigh International expedition to Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, where he was Logistic Manager. As such he was responsible for all equipment requirements and food for 130 venturers and staff who were spread throughout the State in some very remote locations, for 3 months.
